About the Project
The NGO Info-center is the only civil society organization that continuously implements activities in regard to the census processes in North Macedonia and has a specialized internet site popis.mk.
In 2021, we conducted a citizens’ online campaign on the importance of the population census and monitoring of the Census 2021 media coverage.
Through its activities, the NGO Infocenter aimed to contribute to the impartial, high quality and reliable information of the citizens about the entire process of the Census 2021, as well as, to educate citizens about why the census is important and why it should be successfully implemented. It was essential to raise public awareness that the census is the basis for planning and implementing successful development policies in all areas of society.
Achievements
- Redesigned and functional custom census website popis.mk. According Google analytics the website had 14,882 users, with 18,369 sessions and 29,341 page views (bounce rate 75.72%).
- 111 produced and published articles on popis.mk.
- 25 multimedia products produced, published at NGO Info-centre Youtube channel (5 infographics, 11 social media visuals, 2 videos, 1 short version of the video, 6 video sliders.).
- At NGO Info-center FB Fan page a total of 127 posts dedicated to Census 2021 were published during March-September 2021.
- Most of the produced materials were published and promoted on Facebook (in 44 FB posts), resulting in 000 people reach and more than 12.000 engagements.
- All monitoring reports were prepared, published and promoted on FB, achieving 18.298 people reach, 1.873 engagements.
- 26 Participants to online workshop for journalists with the SCO Executive manager and PR Officer.
