On November 18 of this year, the “Autumn Fair 2024” was held for the first time in the municipality of Centar Župa, a fair of home products and handicrafts by 26 women from rural areas from several settlements in the municipalities of Debar, Centar Župa and Mavrovo Rostuše.
The activity, organized in the premises of the Radika-DE branch in Centar Župa, was visited by fifty residents, representatives from the municipality, young and old.
The participants of the fair were greeted by the mayor of the municipality of Centar Zhupa, Arijan Ibrahim. He expressed his satisfaction for the organization of the event for the first time of its kind in Centar Župa, at the same time emphasizing the importance of the enhanced cooperation between ELS Centar Župa and the Radika-DE Association, which has its own branch in Centar Župa since last year, which represents an important step forward for women. from the municipality.
The visitors had the opportunity to look at the stands of women from several settlements of the three municipalities: from Velebrdo-Mavrovo and Rostushe, from Mogorce and Dolno Kosovrasti from Debar, and from Novak, Odzhovci, Balanci, Mal and Golem Papradnik and Centar Župa.
At the stands there were various types of jams, sweets, forest fruit juices, various types of herbs and teas, wild apple vinegar, fruit, knitted and embroidered products, handmade jewelry, souvenirs, etc.
The autumn fair is part of the efforts for greater mobilization of women who are economically dependent and have the potential for economic activation and individual progress in the community and society.
The fair was organized by the association Radika DE from Debar, as part of the efforts for economic empowerment of rural women. The event is part of the “United for active citizenship” project of the NGO Info-center, which is implemented with the support of the European Union.
