The NGO Info-center implements an action that will comprehensively and profoundly map and analyze the presence, as well as, the influence of China’s propagandistic content in the media sphere in North Macedonia and its influence in the citizens’ opinion.
Specific objectives are to identify key narratives, their intensity, key actors and key sources in the media; to detect influence of the narratives on citizens’ perception and opinion, as well citizens’ level of awareness and recognition of such content.
Within the auspices of the project, the NGO Info-center will conduct an in-depth media content analysis (qualitative and quantitative), with applied methodology of statistical data processing. The research will rely on techniques of discourse analysis to determine the main narratives and the discursive framework within which they function. The research will also consist of a series of in-depth interviews and focus groups discussions with citizens and other relevant stakeholders. Once the research report is prepared will be vastly promoted and it will serve as a base for enhancing the public debate and to raise public awareness.
