On 14 October 2025, in Struga, a public debate with mayoral candidates was held, organized by the Community Center of the Municipality of Struga as part of the Forum for Civil Dialog.
The event was attended by 25 citizens and five candidates—four independent candidates and one representative of a political party—and opened a public discussion on civic priorities identified through previous consultative meetings.
Local civic priorities were presented, identified through several prior activities, surveys, meetings with active citizens representing civil society organizations, and a consultative meeting with citizens.
The candidates had the opportunity to present the main points of their electoral programs and to state their positions and proposed measures regarding the priorities defined by citizens. Each candidate was given space to address each of the four priorities individually and to commit to their implementation if elected, followed by a discussion with the attending citizens.
The event is part of the project “Active Citizens and Participatory Democracy at Local Level,” implemented by NGO Info-centre with the support of the Olof Palme International Center from Sweden.
