Only 40.7% of the population is fully vaccinated
The NGO Info-centre, under the auspices of its programme “Fact-based Information and Transparency for Successful COVID-19 Immunisation”, conducts a weekly and periodical (monthly) monitoring of the process of COVID-19 vaccine rollout in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The monitoring places main emphasis on the course, tempo and intensity of vaccination of population against COVID-19, procurement and arrival of vaccines in the country, as well as the manner and quality of information provided to the citizens on this extremely important process.
This report presents an overview of the most important information and available statistical data on the immunisation of population against COVID-19 in the period from November 26, 2021 until January 22, 2022.
Executive Summary
- 40.7% of the population are fully vaccinated (841,143 citizens).
- 41.8% of the population received at least one dose of vaccine (864,759 citizens).
- From November 26, 2021 to January 22, 2022, the percentage of fully vaccinated increased by 2.3%, and with a single dose by 1.8%.
- 50.5% of the population over 18 years of age is fully vaccinated.
- 122,752 citizens received the third dose of vaccine
- Interest in vaccination is low.
- The lowest percentage of fully vaccinated population is in Strumica – 28,5%.
- The highest percentage of fully vaccinated population is in Negotino – 55.9%.
- 37% of newly infected, 19% of hospitalized and 22% of COVID-19 deceased were vaccinated.
- So far, 2,097,162 doses of vaccine have been received (excluding Pfizer/BioNTechdoses arrived in October and November 2021).
- So far, the country has received a donation of 921,180 vaccines.
