Glasen Tekstilec, on December 22, 2023, organized a debate which was attended by 20 citizens, representatives of local communities, as well as the mayor of the Municipality of Shtip, Ivan Jordanov, the director of the Public Enterprise “Stipion”, Panche Stefanovski and the director of the Public Enterprise “Isar”, Kiril Zajkov.
Participants discussed the progress and budgeting of the seven priority projects for which the citizens declared in 2022, and for which a Memorandum for the realization of the civic priorities was signed between the Municipality of Shtip and Glasen Tekstilec.
With the Memorandum, concluded on 14.12.2022, the Municipality of Shtip undertakes that in the period 2023-2025 it will realize the following civic priorities resulting from direct consultations with citizens: Solving the problem with the old water supply network and the pressure in the high zones; Better hygiene and waste management, improving the work of competent public enterprises and waste recycling; Completion of “Partizanska” boulevard from AMD to Babi neighbourhood; Construction of multi-story garages and more parking spaces in the central city area; Construction of a wastewater treatment plant.; Parks, playgrounds and uniforms for elementary school students; Improvement of municipal services to citizens.; and formation of a local economic social council.
The event is part of the Forum for Civil Dialog activities, supported by the International Centre Olof Palme from Sweden.
