On October 13, 2025, a civic forum was held at Hotel “Oaza” – Shtip, organized by Glasen Tekstilec, a member of the Forum for Civic Dialogue (FCD).
At the forum, citizens, youth, and candidates for councilors discussed the eight priorities set by the citizens of Shtip themselves.
The candidates for mayor: Ivan Jordanov (VMRO-DPMNE) and Pavel Ivanov (SDSM) also participated as panelists, who presented their views on the future development of the city.
The topics covered the most important local issues: urban plans and construction in the center, traffic and public transportation, greenery, hygiene and waste, old infrastructure, efficiency of the administration, a center for children with disabilities, and greater accountability of institutions to citizens.
The forum confirmed that citizens want to be part of the solutions, and the candidates have an obligation to listen to them!
The event is organized as part of the project “Active Citizens and Participatory Democracy at the Local Level”, implemented by the NGO Infocenter, in partnership with Glasen Tekstilec, with support from the Olof Palme International Center.
