CSO Activo from Veles, in partnership with the NGO Info – centre through the project “Alliances for Active Citizenry” supported by the European Union and in cooperation with Chashka Municipality, organized a working meeting for the development of the new Youth Strategy 2025-2029 in the Municipality of Chashka. In an open and participatory process, young people from the Municipality of Chaska had the opportunity to identify strategic priorities, goals and activities in the Municipality of Chaska. The event took place on October 9, 2024 in the premises of OOU Todor Janev in Chashka.
The event, which is part of the municipality’s efforts to develop a Local Youth Strategy in Čaška, was attended by twenty young people from the villages of Čaška, Izvor and Gorno Jabolcishte, as well as members of youth and youth organizations operating in the municipality.



Lidija Pljakova from the Municipality of Chaska pointed out that young people have the support of the Municipality of Chaska for the development of the new Local Youth Strategy as a strategic document of the municipality. He emphasized the possibility of support, during the preparation of project applications by young people, which will realize their priorities.
Dejan Ristov from ACTIVE moderated the event, guided the young people through the process of defining the priority areas, as well as youth needs and recommendations that will be an integral part of the new Local Youth Strategy 2025-2029 of the Municipality of Chaska.
The working meeting was also attended by Trajche Mishkoski, President of the Council of the Municipality of Chaska. Mishkoski motivated the attendees to bring priority areas and their needs and emphasized that young people have his support and the support of the Council for specific ideas and activities that are in their interest.
This initiative will contribute to the active involvement of young people in decision-making at the local level, greater awareness, strengthening the role of young people in the municipality, recognition of youth needs and challenges, encouraging the progress and development of young people as well as strengthening their role in society. Holding the event is a motivating step for young people from the municipality of Chaska to practice active citizenship by defining the priority areas in the new Local Youth Strategy, identifying the priorities of young people and working to build a better future in the local environment for all citizens.
