Following an online survey and field interviews with citizens from different social groups and neighborhoods, on 9 October 2025 Glasen Tekstilec, as part of the Forum for Civil Dialog, organized a consultative meeting with citizens, workers, young people, and representatives of urban communities. The meeting enabled an exchange of views, identification of concrete local problems, and discussion of possible solutions.

Based on the survey results, field interviews, and the discussion, eight priority issues were identified: the need to regulate urban development in the central city area and prevent disproportionate construction; lack of green areas and public spaces; serious problems with parking, public transport, and traffic safety; shortcomings in waste management and city hygiene; the need to reconstruct older neighborhoods, especially Duzlachki Rid and Bel Kamen; insufficient support and services for persons with disabilities and their families; the need for increased transparency and efficiency of the municipal administration; and the need for a systemic solution for homeless animals with coordination at the regional level.
The meeting was part of the process of identifying civic priorities for the Municipality of Shtip, carried out within the framework of the project “Active Citizens and Participatory Democracy at Local Level,” implemented by NGO Info-centre with the support of the Olof Palme International Center from Sweden.
