Over 160 thousand citizens were vaccinated, ie 11% of the Government estimates
From January 1 to May 15 this year, a total of 163,427 citizens were vaccinated or 11% according to the estimates of the Ministry of Health because the National Immunization Plan against Covid-19 envisages vaccination of 1,490,500 citizens.
During this period, on the special internet application of the Ministry of Health, vakcinacija.mk, 346,431 citizens applied for the vaccine, ie 23% of the estimates of the Ministry. From April 1 to May 15, the number of registered citizens increased by 68% compared to the first three months of 2021.
As of May 15, 391,050 vaccines arrived in the country, of which most doses of Sinofarm vaccine – 302,000 (77.2%), followed by Pfizer – 33,050 doses (8.5%), Astra-Zeneka – 30,000 doses (7.6%) and Sputnik V – 26,000 doses (6.7%).
Until May 12 this year, 135,574 citizens received the first dose of vaccine, while 47,579 vaccinated citizens are aged 66 to 77 years. During this period, young people aged 18 to 29 were vaccinated in total. 3,817.
Vaccination in the country takes place in health centers and in six points for mass immunization in Skopje, Kavadarci, Stip, Ohrid, Tetovo, Kumanovo.
