The NGO Info-centre, in cooperation with the Women’s Organization from Strumica, started the implementation of a series of trainings aimed to increase the capacities of the local administration and civic activists in Skopje, Bitola, Tetovo and Strumica.
The trainings for increasing knowledge and improving the capabilities of municipalities and CSOs for participating in the programming of IPA funds and applying for European funding are part of the second phase of the project “Local Consultation Mechanism for IPA2 “.
During June 2018, two one-day trainings were held for the needs of the administration in the City of Skopje and three one-day trainings for the civic organizations from Strumica. The series of trainings continues in July in Bitola and in September in Tetovo.
The trainings preceded the mapping of the current situation and the cooperation between the municipalities and the civil society organizations in the programming and participation in the IPA funds (in the municipalities of Bitola, Strumica, Tetovo and the City of Skopje). The understanding about the level of utilization of IPA funds was the basis for creating trainings appropriate to the needs of the local administration and civic activists.
The project “Local Consultative Mechanism for IPA2″ is supported by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Macedonia – Central Financing and Contracting Department (CFCD), through the TAIB 2013 program, with funds from the European Union.
